Dornier Technology launched its drive to be certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency last 19-23 September with the visit of EASA consultant, Mr. Bernard Schuster.
“This working visit by our consultant is significant as we have identified EASA certification as critical to the long-term value of Dornier Technology as a leading MRO in the Asia-Pacific region, and for that we thank the participation of our consultante Mr Schuster,” said Mr. Virgilio Quiniquini, Jr., Dornier Technology Deputy General Manager.
“There is a lot of talent in the organization and I look forward to working with your team on this one. It is not going to be easy, but with hard work, perseverance, and support of the Board, we can make it come true,” beamed Mr. Schuster.
Throughout the week-long visit, Mr. Schuster, who had previously worked with Dornier in Germany and with EASA as a special auditor, led workshops and workplan reviews together with the leadership of Quality, Operations, and Training in identifying current status, progress, and next steps.
At the end of the week, Mr Celso Mercado, Dornier Technology Vice Chairman of the Board, made a visit and a rallying cry to all the employees. “This EASA project is proof that Dornier Technology is here to stay and provide world-class service to airline customers in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region, perhaps even in other parts of the world. I look forward to all of you participating as we grow and move forward!” according to Mr Mercado.
